These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CleanSnap mobile application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the App
CleanSnap allows you to:
- Scan and clean up photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events
- Enhance photos using AI (deblur, upscale, face restore, low light, scratch repair)
- Use an AI Assistant for guided photo management
- View storage statistics via Home Screen widgets
You agree to use the App only for lawful and non-abusive purposes.
2. License
CleanSnap grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App in accordance with these Terms.
All intellectual property rights in the App, including the mascot character "Sparky" and all branding, belong to the Developer.
3. User Content
- All photos, contacts, and calendar data remain on your device unless you explicitly request AI Enhancement
- The Developer has no access to your content
- You retain full ownership of your content, including AI-enhanced images
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you process
4. Third-Party Services
CleanSnap integrates third-party services including:
- Firebase (authentication, storage, cloud functions)
- fal.ai (AI photo enhancement)
- OpenAI (AI Assistant)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Google AdMob (advertising for free users)
- Apple (App Store functionalities)
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. The Developer is not responsible for third-party outages or behavior.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
- All subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store
- Plans include Weekly, Monthly, and Lifetime options
- Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
- Cancellation can be done through Apple ID Settings > Subscriptions
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's policies at reportaproblem.apple.com
- The Developer does not handle or store any billing information
6. Credits System
- Credits are a virtual currency for AI features (enhancements and AI Assistant)
- Credits can be earned for free (welcome bonus, rewarded ads, reviews, referrals) or purchased as credit packs
- Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable once consumed, and do not expire
- Credit costs vary by feature (1–4 credits per use)
- If an enhancement fails due to a server error, credits are refunded automatically
7. Misuse and Abuse Prevention
We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently limit, suspend, or restrict the App's functionality for any user if we detect suspicious activity, abnormal usage patterns, or behavior that may constitute misuse or abuse.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Automated or scripted usage
- Attempts to circumvent the credit system or exploit free credit mechanisms
- Uploading illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content for AI enhancement
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the App
Such restrictions may be applied without prior notice.
8. Content Deletion
All deletions (photos, videos, contacts, calendar events) are initiated and confirmed by you. The App does not automatically delete any content.
Deleted photos and videos may be recoverable from the iOS "Recently Deleted" folder for up to 30 days, subject to Apple's policies.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is", without any warranties, including:
- Accuracy of AI enhancements, classifications, or detections
- Uninterrupted functionality
- Compatibility with all devices
- Availability of third-party services
- Specific storage savings amounts
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Swedish law, the Developer shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data from user-confirmed deletions
- Device damage
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Third-party service failures
- Inaccurate AI output
Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the App.
11. Modifications to the App
- Features may be modified, added, or removed at any time
- The App may be discontinued without notice
- Credit costs and subscription pricing may change; changes apply to future transactions only
12. Termination
Your right to use the App may be terminated if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Tamper with or attempt to reverse engineer the App
- Engage in misuse or abuse as defined above
Upon termination, you must delete the App from your device. Unused credits are forfeited upon termination for cause.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
